Rule 4
Purpose of the Fund
The purpose of the fund shall be as follows:-
(a) To provide training in commercial farming and livestock, poultry farming, agriculture, forestry and mining industry and precious stone industry, etc. (b) To provide loans for service self-employment programs including small and domestic businesses and shop operations such as running rickshaws, handcart services and plumbing services and maintenance of electronic goods in cities and bazaar areas,
(c) Investing loans to Kami, Sarki, Damai, Dhimal, Rajvanshi who have traditional skills,
(d) Providing loans to victims of conflicts, disabled or injured persons, bereaved and martyred families, oppressed castes, tribes and regions and women,
(e) To provide training to the unemployed who want to conduct self-employment program,
(f) Acting on giving special priority to local raw materials and sheep production projects and projects that are consumed in the same area where they are produced,
(g) Investing in one village one production related project,
(G1) Investing in youth and small business self-employment programs through banks, financial institutions and cooperatives (G2) To cooperate with governmental and non-governmental organizations regarding the operations of the fund (h) To perform other tasks prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
